Alterations Basics Course includes:

  • Learn to operate and troubleshoot a sewing machine
  • Work with seams, pivoting, bows and pillows
  • Sew a straight hem, circle hem, blind hem, and a topstitch hem
  • Hem pants with and without cuffs, fix crotch, take in sides, lift necklines
  • Adding fabric and ribbons to straight and curved bottoms to lengthen garments
  • Sew a basic elastic skirt including casing, multiple casing, ruffles on top, exposed elastic, and pockets on the outside
